April 29th 2010 Hamburg Sunrise recognized....
Each year Hamburg Sunrise Rotary recognizes 12 students from Hamburg High School and 12 students from Frontier High School.  These 24 students have the most improved grade average from the beginning of the academic year through the third marking period.  This year's festivities were held at Erie Community College south campus. The students feasted on pizza, chicken fingers and yummy freshly baked cookies. Tom Moses, Village of Hamburg mayor, was our guest speaker. After the award ceremony the Quizmaster conducted the  "Great Trivia Challenge" between Hamburg and Frontier. Frontier was the 2010 victor. The challenge now stands at Frontier 10 and Hamburg 1. Next year! Kudos to Don Witkowski, Grade Improvement chair, for organizing such a fun event.  This was Don's rookie year. We are looking forward to see what he organizes next year.
