A short recap of Club news.
April was a busy month with the successful completion of Trivia and the Grade Improvement lunch. We also re-visited "Visioning" with John Boronkay as our facilitator. April's  grand finale was Slapshot.  Karen Chlosta and Jackie Roberts attended the three day Rotary leadership camp in Ancaster Ontario.
May started our sprint to meet our yearly RI contribution goal. Mark Walling gave a presentation on the importance of our club supporting the Rotary Foundation. As of our last count the club has met this goal. We also submitted our Polio Plus challenge donation. At the May 13th meeting we were privileged to have Colleen Malchow from Honor Flight Buffalo as our speaker.  This organization has just been formed to bring veterans, particularly WWII veterans, to Washington for the day. If you have time visit their website www.honorflightbuffalo.org. The final meeting in May had our DECA students, Karen and Jackie, report on their first place finish in the New York State DECA competition.Could it have been their subject matter, Hamburg Sunrise Rotary, that propelled these two to their first place finish? These two ladies left us with 43 recommendations for improvement. Their report is Sunrise homework for the next Rotary year.  Mike are you ready?
